Activities & Gatherings

A variety of stimulating Activity Groups are organized by members and for members-only participation.

Gatherings

Coffee Meeting

We meet on the first Wednesday morning of the month to hear an educational presentation and Activity Group announcements. This meeting is open to the public. View Our Monthly Flyer

Monthly Luncheon

Members may reserve a seat for a scrumptious meal at local restaurants on third Thursdays from September to May to meet up with old friends or make new ones.

Activities

Antiques Group

Members of the Antiques Group share their love and knowledge of antiques, vintage, and just plain fond memories of things near and dear. They do this at monthly meetings that focus on a particular topic of antique collection. There are a few field trips annually to museums, historic homes, or to antique district shops.

Coffee & Friends

The Coffee & Friends casual gathering is held the third Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM. Members come together for a chance to get to know others and enjoy an afternoon break. Currently, the gathering occurs at Panera Bread on Palomar Airport Road next to Lowe’s. Days and times subject to change.

Culinary Arts

The purpose and goal of the Culinary Arts Group is to learn new cooking and baking techniques, uses of helpful utensils, new interesting recipes, and to be adventurous in order to expand knowledge and skills. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30am. At each meeting the participants are encouraged to share at least one cooking/baking hint. Participants do not need to be expert cooks, but have to be willing to share.

Golf

The Golf group meets on Wednesdays at the Lomas Santa Fe Executive Course, located at 1580 Sun Valley Road in Solana Beach. The tee time is 9:24 AM. Players can call the course at 858-755-0195 to add their name to the Newcomers list.

Happy Hour

Pour a drink of whatever you fancy … anything goes … and join us to meet and chat with other club members. If you like to meet people and express yourself, this is the place to tune in. We are a group of people who are friendly, curious, and love to share stories that, more often than not, demonstrate how we are all connected. The group meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. during warm weather months. Join us for some happy hour fun!
